Im Ryan Waldrop, I used to be in Team Fusion #364 Robotics in Highschool. Im now 21 studying in Network Security. Over the past couple years before Katrina I have been researching alternate energy sources. Solar energy is most definately a great reliable energy source for this hobby. I run a small aquarium maintenance business on the side and have customers with big tanks. They have all the same issue. What is going to happen to them when the power is lost due to a Hurricane or other destructive disaster. I used to work at aquarium specialty shop in Gulfport and I came in a couple days after the storm and it was like a morgue. Although at home I was running solar for 2 n half weeks day and night. At night it was running on backup power the system had accumulated over the day. My experience with solar after the storm gave me alot of understanding about it. During a overcast day even in the rain i was generating a average 16VOLTS!!!!!!!
